collection 01 has five objects. each one is designed by ernest chang and curated by jacqueline frank in hong kong and london. made by hand in jingdezhen by expert artisans in chinese crafts.
our motto is to take personal, nostalgic parts of our cultures and histories, and blend them into one-of-a-kind pieces that elevate everyday living into an art form.
aiming to inject representation into our modern living spaces, we stitched together our last names, "frank" and "chang", together and created a melanged manifestion of these hybrid aethetics.
from childhood to adulthood, the vision has remained the same. to simply be ourselves.

our origins
frankenchang was born from a shared obsession with objects that carry both meaning and beauty. as third culture kids raised internationally, we create pieces that feel familiar yet strange; heirlooms stitched from memory, meme, and cultural tension for a new generation of asian artistry.
we are a homeware studio for living with art, where craftsmanship meets irony and our collective heritage becomes playful again. every piece is a fragment of who we are, half serious, half surreal, always asian at heart.
each creation begins as a study of asian rituals, then we reinterpret these gestures through form, texture, and restraint.
